To the family of Bob, my sincere sypathy is with you. I am filled with sorrow today as I considered Bob my friend and an American hero. I think frequently of the day that connected us as lifelong friends and the hugs and tears we shed that Veteran's Day so many years ago. Rest with peace in your soul my friend.

I want to express my sincere condolences to my Big Brotherโ€™s family. Knowing that he is absent from the body and present with the Lord is a great comfort. Please know that you are all in our prayers.
Bob and I met in the Army during training and we discovered that our birthdays were the same except Bob was a year older. After that we called each other Big Brother, Little Brother. Bob and I went to Vietnam together and as fate would have it we were assigned to the same Artillery unit Charlie Battery 2nd & 17th Field Artillery. Bob and I decided to extend our tours so we would go home together. Unfortunately Bob was wounded during enemy shelling in November of 1969 and was sent home. I always look forward to talking and e-mail Bob over the years.
I miss him already and I know how much you will miss him. Knowing that we will see him on the other side is such a Blessed Hope.
Rest in Peace my friend.
