He spent the last several years of his adult life in nursing homes and enjoyed listening to books on tape and Christian and other recorded music. He loved his daily Pepsi and food of any kind. He will always be remembered for saying, “More please” and “Thank you.” Orville “LOVED” Chicago sports teams: Cubs, Bears, and Blackhawks.  He will be remembered as a man who always asked how everybody else was doing.

Orville is survived by 4 sisters: Karen Leonard, Sue (Gregg) Flaherty, Kay (Mike) Raineri, and Gloria Sampson all of Peru. He is also survived by 4 brothers: Larry (Nancy) Sampson of Chicago, Jim Sampson of Peru, Terry (Nancy) Sampson of Naperville, and Kevin (Laura) Sampson of Peru.
