Darlene Ann Konczak, 83, of La Salle, died January 29, 2017 in St. Margaret’s Hospital in Spring Valley.
Cremation rites have been accorded. The Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle is handling arrangements.
Mrs. Konczak was born in Peru on January 28, 1934 to Edward and Mary (Bernetche) Washkowiak. She married Raymond Konczak Sr. on December 25, 1955.
Darlene was an animal lover. She loved her birds, Sweety and Jimmie.
She is survived by three daughters, Lillian (Dave) May of Granville, Doreen (James) Hancock of Spring Valley and Lorrie (Don) Williams of Indiana; six sons, Edward (Debra) Konczak of Oglesby, Ray (Michele) Konczak Jr. of La Salle, Robert (Lisa) Konczak of Van Orin, Roy Konczak of Jonesville, Andrew Konczak of Jonesville and Tom (Trina) Hughey of Indiana; one brother Art (Esther) Washkowiak of Oglesby; 37 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband on April 18, 2002, one daughter Mary Ann Picatto, one sister Lorraine Swingle and one brother Ed Washkowiak.
