Charles A. Trahan

Charles A. Trahan, 67, of La Salle died January 8, 2017 in St Francis Medical center Peoria.

Funeral services will be 6:00 PM Monday, January 16 in Hurst Funeral Home La Salle.  Cremation rites will take place following the services. Burial will be private. Visitation will be 4-6:00 PM Monday in the funeral home. 

Charles was born November 8, 1949 in Elmhurst, IL to Oliver and Bernetta (Smith) Trahan. He worked maintenance for Mooseheart School in Aurora for many years. Charles served in the US Army. He was a member of the VFW.

Charles is survived by 2 sons Charles Trahan II of La Salle and Joshua Trahan of La Salle. 1 daughter Cindy (Robert) Overstreet of Aurora, IL,5 Grandchildren Carlie Rivera, Brach Martinson, Jaylin Trahan, Shane Trahan and Michael Terry. 4 Great Grandchildren Jontay Rivera, Dominic Craig, Damien Craig and Aubrey Martinson. 5 sisters Phyllis Cranci ,Doris Trahan-Borkos, Kathy Trahan, Sandy Trahan and Geraldine Trahan and 2 brothers William Trahan and Oliver Trahan.

Charles was preceded in death by his wife Carolyn and 1 sister Judy.
