Dear Aunt Betty,
I was hoping to visit you in September, but the Lord had other plans. I never told you thank you for all of the birthday cards you sent well into my adulthood. Your life was hard, but you seemed to always smile. The last time I saw you, I photographed you at the window saying goodbye. I did not know then, it would be for an eternity.
I remember you helping us as we grew up. The times you watched us while you worked, pre-hospital, at the restaurant. I still remember the white uniform you wore. I'm sure you fed us while we were there, if anything, just to keep us busy and out of trouble. Thank you for giving me sign work to do when I was old enough. I appreciated that beyond words. I'm sure you paid for that work out of your own pocket.
Linda, these days are hard, but they will get better. You spent so much time with your mom. You finished well. I'm sorry that you've had to go through this. I want to apologize for not letting you in our house when you came to visit. The kids and dogs made a mess and I was a little embarrassed. You welcomed me to house so we could visit your mom. Thank you. I will always remember those times.
The Lord numbers our days and I hope yours are many. Our prayers cover you in ways we will never probably know. Thank you for this opportunity to write something short.

Thanks Steve for the kind words. They mean a lot to me. My mom lived a good long life and now she's not suffering anymore.

Those of us left here, on this Earth, will struggle with the absence of a loved one. And yet, they are now free, forever in their youth, gazing into the eyes of their Lord, Savior, God and King, Jesus Christ. I speak peace and comfort over you Linda and Ron and that the Truth of where your Mom is , right now , brings a calm to your souls ... And that you draw strength knowing that, someday, you will be reunited once again in and through your own personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Your Mom was one of my favorite Aunts.

Thanks Mary Lou. I know you were her favorite sister and she always looked forward to your calls. It was too bad she couldn't hear anymore so she could talk to you this past year. She looked so good and the service was very nice. She's buried next to grandma where she wanted to be. The flowers were really pretty.
