Our deepest condolences to the family of this lovely woman. Kim was so vibrant and passionate, especially when it came to her children and husband. She will be so very missed. We are so very sorry we were unable to show our condolences and respect to both Kim and the family in person. Sending prayers of love and comfort to the family.

Kim, words fail me, which means I have a lot more to say - I just don't know where to start cuz they all want out at the same time. Maybe I should just go scream at something for a while, but, I'll try since I can't come home to sing for you and yours and ours...Kim, my first girlfriend. You were 8 and I was born and you were a cradle robber. I graduated to dating your mom when you got to high school and actually started dating boys for real. Nancy, I love you so much. After school we played in the basement with your kitchen set or on the porch or in the TV room. You gave care to me as we grew older, if my Mom needed you to watch me for 20 min or a couple hours you were there, when I had questions about homework, you were there, when I went to my brothers games or matches you were doing high kicks in the Cavalettes and you'd always give me a big hug at the games, when I started doing plays, you were the audience, when I got my first job as a server, you came to eat, when I wanted a better job you got me in at the country club and we worked together. You of course holding down a career and a side job and me working my way through beauty school. When I graduated you became a client and even before that you came to the school and trusted me with scissors. You were my Suzie Orman, you were my caretaker, you were my friend, you lived in the house behind my house and I lived in the house behind yours, and we were the youngest (not even God can take that away from us ;). Very similar houses with very similar layouts and very similar families, large ones that had lot and lots of love in them, so much love that people can hear it audibly from the surrounding blocks, laughter, tears, and love, good food, beer and wine, and lots of sweets. If your family was throwing a BBQ our family was, if my family was having a party your family was. We weren't the people you don't know that live next door - We were family - and we still are. Now, you have two beautiful kids and a husband who is quite possibly the best man on earth. You taught me that a woman can have a career not just a job. You taught me what to hold onto and what to let go of. You taught me to have work ethic and you had my back and showed up in my place when I needed you and you always wanted the details and you always checked in. The past 10 years living in Los Angeles, 3,000 miles away, I knew all I ever had to do was call or write and you'd be there. Now we get to talk in new ways, mostly one sided from my end. You'll be the stardust that I look for when I'm feeling blue, or when I need the answer to something I can look up and find you. When I'm thinking of something smart to do with my money you'll still have all the answers. When I need a hug all I have to do is open my arms and I know you'll be there. I'll just wish you were down here with the rest of us but I know you're still here with your kids, your husband, your life. Kim, you curated a life experience for yourself that could take three masters degrees to teach not including the residency it would require to finish. I will always look up for you because I look up to you already. You were my first girl and there a special place in my heart for that's only for you. Here's to the journey. I'll be looking for you down the 101 club and saving quarters for the jukebox. They let you have quarters in heaven, right? - ask Tab.

My deepest sympathy to your family at this time. May you all have faith and peace. I met Kim through Shelley when Kim had an interest in MetLife. After Kim started working at MetLife I met her in the café at Met and meeting her was like meeting an old friend. What a wonderful outgoing and friendly woman. She for sure had that laugh that seems to be common in her family, I am truly sorry for the loss of this woman- daughter, sister, wife, mother, co-worker, friend I know she will be dearly missed. She has gained her wings and will be the angel for all that knew her.

I was very saddened to learn of Kim's passing. I worked with her in various capacities at RR Donnelley and remember with fondness her great smile and infectious laugh. I always looked forward to what ever she would bring when we had occasions to bring food to the office, but I think most especially the bagna cauda.
I am heartened to see that her Catholic faith remained an important element in her life, and hope to pray for the repose of her soul at the funeral on Monday. If something prevents that from happening, please know of my ongoing prayers for Kim's final journey home.
The souls of the just are in the hand of God
and no torment shall touch them.
They seemed, in the view of the foolish, to be dead;
and their passing away was thought an affliction
and their going forth from us, utter destruction.
But they are in peace.
For if before men, indeed, they be punished,
yet is their hope full of immortality;
chastised a little, they shall be greatly blessed,
because God tried them
and found them worthy of himself.
As gold in the furnace, he proved them,
and as sacrificial offerings he took them to himself.
In the time of their visitation they shall shine,
and shall dart about as sparks through stubble;
they shall judge nations and rule over peoples,
and the Lord shall be their King forever.
Those who trust in him shall understand truth,
and the faithful shall abide with him in love:
because grace and mercy are with his holy ones,
and his care is with his elect.
Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her.
May her soul and the souls of all the faithful departed
Through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
Amen.
