Helen M. Galloway, 87, of La Salle died at 5:55 PM on June 29, 2016 in her son’s home after an extended illness.
There will be no services. The Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle is assisting the family.
Mrs. Galloway was born in Fisher on November 11, 1928 to Arthur and Irene (Fillenworth) Lange. She worked at Mendota Lutheran Home for 25 years. The former Mrs. Hill married Francis “Abe” Galloway on September 14, 1966 in Ottawa.
Mrs. Galloway is survived by one daughter Jo Ellen Arredondo of Dallas, TX; three sons Steve Hill of La Salle, Marvin Hill of La Salle, and Dean Hill of Peru; four granddaughters; eight grandsons; twelve great granddaughters; fifteen great grandsons; two great-great granddaughters; two great-great grandsons; four nieces and one nephew.
She is preceded in death by her husband Francis, her parents, daughter Linda Glenn, one sister, four brothers, one great grandson, and one great-great grandson in infancy.
