William Schmollinger Jr.

William Schmollinger Jr., 55, of Dalzell, passed away February 25, 2022 as a result of an accident at his work.

Funeral services will be 6:00 PM Wednesday in the Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle.  Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until time of services.  Cremation will follow services.

Bill was born in Peru on July 28, 1966 to William and Marilyn (Reynolds) Schmollinger Sr. He married Pamela Fiedler on October 6, 2001. He worked at American Nickeloid in Peru for the past 10 years.

Bill enjoyed golfing, bowling and drinking coffee. His all-time best golf score was an 80 and 231 was his best bowling score.  He was an avid Chicago White Sox fan. Bill's favorite pass time was spending time with the boys, and together, they enjoyed many White Sox games.

Bill is survived by two sons Tanner Schmollinger and Marshall Schmollinger both of Spring Valley, his former wife Pamela of Spring Valley, his father William Schmollinger Sr. of Spring Valley, and one sister Amy (Jim) Koster of Peru.

He was preceded in death by his mother Marilyn and one brother Doug Schmollinger.
