Vada "Parilie" Edwards

Vada “Parilie” Edwards, 84, of La Salle, passed away on January 1, 2025 at Goldwater Care in Spring Valley.

A Celebration of Life will be 1:00 PM Saturday, January 11, at the Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle with Pastor Steve Adamson officiating. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 AM until time of services.

Mrs. Edwards was born in Mayberry Township on July 5, 1940 to Milton and Gertie (Mick) Bennett. She married John Edwards in Peru on October 30, 1964. She graduated from Magnolia Sweeney High School and obtained an Associate’s Degree from IVCC. She worked at St. Margaret’s Hospital in Central Supply for 18 years until her retirement.

Mrs. Edwards was a member of Faith Church where she played the organ for over 30 years.

Mrs. Edwards is survived by one daughter Gille (Mike Findley) Noramczyk of Davenport, IA, one grandson Brady Noramczyk, four great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband John on February 13, 2014, daughter Nora Louise Edwards, and one sister Goldia Faletti.
