Thomas "Tom" E. Venturini

Thomas “Tom” E. Venturini, 71, of La Salle, passed away peacefully at home on March 25, 2021.

Cremation rites have been accorded.  Burial of his ashes with be in San Francisco as a tribute to a trip that was not able to happen before his death. The Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle is entrusted with his services.

Tom was born in Chicago on July 1, 1949 to Evo and Jean (Hoering) Venturini.  He served with the United States Army. Tom married Kathleen Schroeder. He was a child support enforcement worker with the Department of Human Services. He volunteered at Illinois Valley PADS and Lilly Pads.  He enjoyed reading comic books and was an avid Star Trek fan.

Tom is survived by his wife Kathleen of La Salle; one daughter Amanda (Ben) Venturini-Wonders of La Salle and one son Nathan Venturini of Bloomington; a grandson Skyler Wonders of La Salle; one sister Connie Venturini of Madison, WI and one brother Jim (Michelle) Venturini of Madison, WI.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tom’s grandson's custodial account. It was an account setup by Tom for the purpose of Skyler's future education and/or therapy services for his autism. Checks may be payable to Edward Jones Acct. #62121699.
