Thomas Pottinger Obituary

Thomas A. Pottinger, 80, of Peru passed away at his home on April 24, 2021.

Cremation rites have been accorded. The Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle is assisting the family with arrangements.

Mr. Pottinger was born in Peru on February 11, 1941 to Alfred and Lena (Macook) Pottinger. From 1962 to 1968, he served with the 182nd Tac Air Support Group Air National Guard, Illinois. He married Bernadette Fusinetti on February 8, 1964. Mr. Pottinger was a member of the Mendota Elks.

Mr. Pottinger is survived by his wife Bernie of Peru and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brother Al Pottinger and sister Barbara Boehn.

Memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
