Thomas E. Lyons, 76, of McNabb, passed away October 18, 2023 in Lacon Rehab and Nursing Home.
A Celebration of Life will be 3:00 PM Sunday October 29 at the Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle with Pastor Glenn Foster officiating. A visitation will be in the funeral home on Sunday October 29 from 2:00 PM until time of service. Burial will be at a later date at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood.
Tom was born on July 4, 1947 in Jersey City, NJ to Theodore and Ethel (Mainwaring) Lyons. He was a 1966 Dickinson High School, Jersey City alum. He served with the United States Army from 1966-1969, serving in Vietnam from 1966-1967. He married Deborah Quesse in 2010. He worked for Pepsi-Cola in New York for 38 years retiring in 2007. He was a friend of Bill W. since 1992.
Tom is survived by his wife Deborah of McNabb; two daughters Shannon (Keith) Sloan of NJ and Christie (Raul) Lucaci of NY; sister Beverly Finnan; four stepchildren Elizabeth (Drew) Beyer of FL, Katie (Bob) Wilson of FL, Luke (Kerri) Pellens of CA, and Sarah (Seng) Saepharn of DePue; three grandchildren Keith Sloan Jr., Samantha (Bryan) Smith, and Sydney Sloan; five great-grandchildren Breann Sloan, Kennedy Sloan, Mieke Sloan, Mira Sloan, and Elias Zamudio; ten step grandchildren Logan (Abby) Pellens, Brent Pellens, Mason Pellens, Johnathon Pellens, Jordan Beyer, Averie and Leo Saepharn, Austin and Luke Wilson, and Mason Smith; two step great-grandchildren Makena and Declan Pellens and one on the way.
He was preceded in death by two sisters Betty Lynch and Delores Gevaza and brother Jack Lyons.
