Thomas A. Gianfrancisco, 78, of Channahon, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2026 at the Illinois Veterans Home at La Salle.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Burial will at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood at a later date.
Tom was born in Chicago on December 8, 1947 to Anthony and Cissy (Manley) Gianfrancisco. He served with the United States Army in Vietnam from May 20, 1969 to December 30, 1970. He married Jo Ellen McGunnigal on February 14, 2008. He worked as a union plumber and pipefitter. He was a Medinah Shriner.
Tom is survived by his wife, Jo Ellen of Channahon; one daughter, Jennifer (Mike) Ditscheit of Wisconsin; four grandchildren, Nicholas (Taryn) Ditscheit, Joseph (Faith) Ditscheit, Ashley (Steven) Satterlee, and Nicole Gianfrancisco; one brother, Anthony (Lori Park) Gianfrancisco; one sister, Kathleen Lawhorn; daughter-in-law, Peggy Wilson Gianfrancisco; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Robert Gianfrancisco; daughter, Jody Gianfrancisco, and stepson; James H. Rovy.
