Theresa M. Johnson

Theresa M. Johnson, 84, of Granville died at Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton on March 13, 2021.

A Celebration of Life will be 7:00 PM Thursday March 25 in the Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle with Rev. Solomon Sudhakar, Pastor of Grace United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Winridge Memorial Park in Cary, IL.

Theresa was born in Grayslake on July 8, 1936 to Anthony and Florence (Etten) Hertel. She married Julius Kinast in 1964. He died in 1986.  She then married Jim Johnson in 1998 and he died in 2001. Theresa worked at Help at Home in Ottawa. She was an avid Chicago Cub fan. She enjoyed needlepoint and watching Jeopardy. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in La Salle.

Theresa is survived by one daughter Janet (David) Thoms of Peru; three grandchildren Jennifer, Michelle, and Sidney; one sister Florence (Robert) Clark; two brothers Alfred (Carol) Hertel and  Albert (Kay) Hertel.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Jude Medical Research Hospital in Memphis, TN.
