Theodore "Theo" Anthony Charles Piano

Theodore Anthony Charles “Theo” Piano, 31, of Peru passed away unexpectedly at his home in Peru during the early morning hours of Friday June 25, 2021.

Funeral services will be 7:00 PM Monday in the Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle with Rev. Thomas Otto officiating. Visitation will be 5:00 PM Monday until time of services.

Theo was born on December 17, 1989 in Spring Valley to Deb Sampson and Theodore “Ted” Piano. He was a lifelong resident of the Illinois Valley, spending his early years as the 5th generation on a family property in Oglesby and later moving to Peru where he spent his school years. He maintained a fearless curiosity throughout his life and never forgot a birthday. Family was always very important to him.

Theo is survived by his mother Deb Sampson of Peru; his father Ted (Toni) Piano of Lombard; sisters Deana Costin of La Salle and Tanya Piano of Chicago; nephews Tiler Costin, Caprecio Patterson, Jabryle and Rodney Phillips; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents Sidney and Judy Sampson and paternal grandparents Anthony and Joanne Piano.

Theo will be remembered by all who knew him as a big guy, with an even bigger heart.
