Sharon A. Stratton

Sharon A. Stratton, 81, of Wenona passed away peacefully at home on April 27, 2021.

Gravesides services will be 11:00 AM Saturday at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Wenona. The Hurst Funeral Home in Wenona is assisting the family with arrangements.

Mrs. Stratton was born in Streator on October 26, 1939, the eighth child of John and Elizabeth (Davis) Murphy. She married Richard Stratton on May 16, 1968. She worked at Thatcher’s Glass in Streator.

Mrs. Stratton is survived by six children Lori (Myron) Crone of Streator, Teresa (Richard) Park of Wenona, Greg (Amy Peters) Chromchak of Wenona, Richard (Debbie) Stratton of Varna, Anthony (Mindy) Stratton of Streator, and Brian (Janet) Stratton of Wenona; twenty-nine grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; sisters Florence Warner of Gaylon, OH, Delores McDonald of Wayne, OH, Wanda Seipp of Rhome, TX, Beulah Janney of Streator, and Grace Arbise of Streator; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Richard on June 20, 2017, grandson Brian Stratton Jr., brothers Jack, Ron, and Kenneth Murphy and Fred Tesh; sister Doris Murphy in infancy; and nieces and nephews.
