Scott McAlister

Scott McAlister, 56, of Peru, died peacefully at home on October 28, 2019 surrounded by his family.

A Celebration of Life will be 6:00 PM Monday November 4, 2019 in the Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle.  Visitation will be Monday from 4:00 PM until time of services.

Scott was born in Ottawa on November 20, 1962 to Terry and Sharon (Van Dorn) Shugars.  He married Kayla (Dana) Kennedy of Ottawa in 1986.

He was Superintendent of Parkes Company in Franklin, TN.  He enjoyed fishing, traveling and collecting die cast trucks.  He was very adventurous, he was not afraid to try anything once.

Scott is survived by his fiancé Bonnie Welch of Peru; five children, Scott (Gennett) Smith of Peoria, Michael (Mandi) McAlister of Milwaukee, WI, Steven (Galen) McAlister of Pulaski, TN, Jacey (Chris) Etscheid of Seatonville and Terri Welch of Peru; five grandchildren, Mason and Cash Smith, Harper and Emerson McAlister, and Maya Grace Etscheid; one sister Pam (John) Myers of Clarksville, TN and one brother William McAlister.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Cheri Russell and one brother Ken McAlister.
