Rosa M. Sanchez Hernandez

Rosa M. Sanchez Hernandez, 73, of Peru, passed away on February 24, 2025 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria surrounded by family.

Mass of Christian burial will be 1:00 PM Friday, February 28, at Queen of the Holy Rosary Shrine in La Salle with the Very Rev. Thomas Otto and Rev. Antonio Dittmer officiating. Burial will be at St. Hyacinth's Cemetery in La Salle. Visitation will be in the church on Friday from 10:00 AM until time of services. The Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle has been entrusted with her arrangements.

Rosa was born in Mexico City, Mexico on February 3, 1952 to Carmelo Sanchez and Elvira Hernandez. She married Antonio Moscosa. She was a member of St. Hyacinth's Church, the Legion of Mary, and the Cursillo. She enjoyed knitting, reading, and praying.

Rosa is survived by her husband Antonio of Peru; five daughters Angelica, Irene, Alicia, Martha, and Guadalupe Moscosa; one son Jose Moscosa; seventeen grandchildren; one great granddaughter; one brother Arnulfo; two sisters Carmela and Malena; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Guillermo.
