Robert Alan Everding, LTC (ret), 63, of Yukon, OK passed away April 19, 2022 in Oklahoma City.
A private celebration of Bob's life by family and friends will be May 14, 2022 in Oklahoma. Inurnment will be at Golden Cemetery in Ryan, IA alongside his father at a later date.
Bob was born in La Grange Park on June 3, 1958 to Richard and Shirley Everding. He grew up in Princeton and was a 1976 graduate of Princeton High School. He received an appointment from Congressman Bob Michel to the Air Force Academy from which he graduated in May, 1980. He attended pilot training at Vance Air Force Base in Enid, OK and graduated in August 1981. He then spent the next 3 years at Vance as an academic and flight instructor pilot. Bob's Air Force career took him to Merced, CA, Grand Fork, ND, and Tinker Air Force Base. He had various assignments in Europe and Asia, including the Iraq Conflict flying support missions in the KC 135 refueling aircraft. After retirement from the Air Force in 2014, Bob worked for CAE Contractor as a Simulator Instructor.
Bob is survived by his wife, Peggy Bush-Everding of 37 years, his daughter Heather Bush-Youngs, his grandchildren, Taylor Olson, Joshua Olson, Corbin Cowan, Presleigh White, and Casidi Bush. He is also survived by Braxton Olson, Stetson Smith, Jenson Smith, and Krue White, his great grandchildren. He is also survived by his mother Shirley Everding and brother Rick and his wife Sharon Everding of Peru.
Bob was preceded in death by his father Richard Everding, his daughters Jennifer Bush and Erin Leigh Bush.
Bobby, you are never forgotten, always missed, and forever in our hearts. We were privileged to share your life for so many wonderful years. your loss will remain a constant sadness until we close our own eyes for the last time to see you and rejoice.
