Phyllis Ann Heike, 94, of Wenona, passed away peacefully on February 27, 2025 at Carriage Crossing Senior Living in Bloomington.
Funeral services will be 12:00 PM Saturday March 1, 2025 at Zion Lutheran Church in Wenona with Rev. Mark Gruden officiating. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Wenona. Visitation will be in the church from 11:00 AM until time of services. The Hurst Funeral Home in Wenona is entrusted with her funeral arrangements.
Mrs. Heike was born in Varna on April 27, 1930 to Carl and Emma Louise (Lenz) Junker. She married Paul Heike on April 5, 1953. Phyllis and Paul owned and operated Heike Hardware in Wenona for many years.
She enjoyed sewing, making banners for her church, and going to her 9 o’clock coffee club. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid, Junior Women’s Club, PTA and Trowel and Hobby Club.
Mrs. Heike is survived by two daughters, Laurie (Larry) Turilli of Bloomington and Lisa (Jerry) Musser of Wenona; four grandchildren, Jaime (Randy) Bill, Stacey (Jeff) Runde, Carleigh (Jesse) Chavez and Alexandra (Seth) Schmitt; six great-grandchildren, Holden, Weston, Hadley, Carmen, Charlie and Jase; one brother David (Sally) Junker of Varna; two sisters-in-law, Nedra Junker of Varna and Ursula Junker of Alexandria, VA., many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Paul on August 18, 2004, two brothers, Richard and Gerald Junker and one sister Kathleen in infancy.
Memorials can be made in her name to a charity of the donors choice.
