Paul LeRoy Nave

Paul LeRoy Nave, 54, of La Salle passed away at home on May 26, 2025 after a battle with stomach cancer.

A memorial visitation will be Friday, June 13, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle.

Paul was born at Edward's Air Force Base, California on August 6, 1970 to Virgil and Donna (Lunn) Nave. He grew up in Lostant where he graduated grade school and high school. He owned and operated Paul Nave Construction Company. He was a Vice Commodore and member of the South Shore Boat Club for many years. He enjoyed off-roading. He also loved spending time with his boys and family.

Paul is survived by his mother Donna Hess of Peru; four sons, Levi Nave of FL, Jordan (Rose) Nave of Arlington, Gabriel Pytel of Peru, and Mason Nave of Dover; his fiancée, Nicole Slover of Spring Valley; six grandchildren, Lawson, Kylie, Kasin, Hayden, Addison, and Lilliana; one sister, Tricia (Walter) Glasper of La Salle; one stepsister, DeAnna (Daniel) Alleman-Sallee of VA; one aunt; four uncles; many cousins; two nieces; and five nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Virgil and his paternal grandparents Pete and Jean (Pape) Nave, his maternal grandparents, Sam and Lois (Mauritzen) Lunn, and a cousin Eric John Bernabei in 2023.
