Paul J. Bolen

Paul J. Bolen, 82, of Dimmick, passed away on April 24, 2021 at St. Margaret’s Health in Peru.

Per his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. Memorial service will be at a later date. Burial will be at St. Vincent’s Cemetery in La Salle. The Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle is assisting the family with arrangements.

Mr. Bolen was born in Peru on October 3, 1938 to Paul and Phyllis (Lindenmeyer) Bolen. He married Colleen Brady on May 12, 1962, and they would’ve been celebrating their 59th anniversary next month. He retired from American Nickeloid.

Mr. Bolen is survived by his wife Colleen of Dimmick; three children Laurie (Ken) Von Wald of Longmont, CO, Bob (Donna) Bolen of Winter Park, CO, and Stacey Knutson of Beverly Hills, FL; four grandchildren Katherine Von Wald, Alex Von Wald, Rebecca Bolen and Jake Bolen; one great grandchild Malcolm Medina; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Richard Bolen.

Memorials may be directed to Illinois Valley Animal Rescue.
