Patricia Ann Helmig

Patricia Ann Helmig, 85, of Ladd, passed away January 8, 2023 at Heritage Health in Peru.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday at the Hurst Funeral Home in Ladd with Rev. Gregory Jarzombek OSB officiating. Burial will be at Peru City Cemetery. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Wednesday from 4-7:00 PM and additional visitation will be Thursday from 10:00 AM until time of services.

Mrs. Helmig was born in Spring Valley on February 22, 1937 to Martin “Buck” and Thelma (Cunningham) Ziel. She married Marvin Helmig on June 29, 1957. She worked at Hobbs as a purchasing agent and then as an office manager for Dr. C. Perales.

Mrs. Helmig enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She also enjoyed taking fishing trips to Chetek.

Mrs. Helmig is survived by her husband Marvin of Ladd; daughter Luanne Helmig-Bezely of Cherry; three grandchildren Katie (Adam) Meyer of Peru, Beau (Kelly) Bezely of Cherry, and Matthew (Natasha) Bezely of Spring Valley; seven great-grandchildren Mae, James, Brigham, Jordy, Ellis, Aubrey, and Gannon; and brother John (Linda) Ziel of Spring Valley.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Mike Ziel.

Pallbearers will be John Ziel, Katie Meyer, Beau Bezely, Matthew Bezely, Mike Ziel, and Johnny Ziel.
