Patricia C. Eiten, affectionately known as Mima to many, 89, of Ladd, passed away on June 23, 2022 with her loving family at her side.
Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, June 28, at Holy Trinity Church in Cherry with Rev. J.A. Small officiating. Burial will be at Valley Memorial Park in Spring Valley. Visitation will be in the church on Tuesday from 9:00 AM until time of services. The Hurst Funeral Home in Ladd is assisting the family with arrangements.
Mrs. Eiten was born in Spring Valley on February 28, 1933 to Peter and Catherine (Palmieri) Hopkins. She married Lavern Eiten at St. Benedict Church in Ladd on June 30, 1956. Pat worked at Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton as a medical transcriptionist for 39 years retiring at the age of 80. She was a member of the Ladd American Legion Auxiliary, St. Benedict Altar and Rosary Society and choir.
Pat loved life and spending time with her family. She loved hosting family holidays, especially Christmas Eve. She enjoyed reading and completing crossword puzzles. She was always up for an adventure and never said no.
Mrs. Eiten is survived by two daughters Lynn (Michael) Klein of Cherry and Carla (Robert) Breisch of McHenry. She is also survived by five grandchildren: Kailey (Colleen) Klein, Brigitte Klein, Gabrielle (Matthew) Rogers, Nathan and Patrick Breisch; two sisters Mary Claire McAdams and Karon Walsh; as well as daughter-in-law Lisa Eiten and son-in-law James Brophy; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Lavern on February 29, 1992, her daughter Lori Brophy on March 22, 2016, her son Dean Eiten on April 12, 2016, and a brother-in-law Bob Walsh.
Memorials may be directed to the Hall Township Food Pantry as Pat felt no one should go hungry.
