Nathan T. Lijewski

Nathan T. “Nips” Lijewski, 32, of La Salle, passed away peacefully at home on April 2, 2026.

Mass of Christian burial will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 8, at St. Patrick’s Church in La Salle with Rev. Paul Carlson officiating.  Visitation will be Tuesday, April 7, at the Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle from 4 to 7:00 PM.  Additional visitation will be in the church on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until time of services. 

Nathan was born in Peru on April 29, 1993 to Thomas and Anna (Cosgrove) Lijewski. He was a water/waste water operator.  He enjoyed fishing, golfing, music, and spending time with his friends. He was an avid Alabama Football and Chicago Cubs fan.

Nathan is survived by his mother, Anna (Robert Brown) Lijewski of Peru; his father, Thomas Lijewski of La Salle; his sister, Addison (Matt Rayo) Lijewski of Jacksonville, FL; paternal grandmother, Helene Lijewski of La Salle; bonus grandparents, Dennis and Maria Hampton of Peru; bonus brothers, Evan and Andrew Brown of Normal; special friend and her daughter, Gina and Ivory Greathouse of Peru; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends; and his dog, Oakley.

Nathan was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, John “Jack” Lijewski, maternal grandparents, Richard “Dick” and Judith Cosgrove.
