Nancy A. Pawlak

Nancy A. Pawlak, 88, of La Salle, passed away peacefully at home on October 14, 2023.

Mass of Christian burial will be 10:00 AM Saturday at St. Valentine's Church in Peru with Rev. J.A. Small officiating. Burial will be in Peru City Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8:00 PM Friday at the Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle with additional visitation on Saturday also in the funeral home from 9-9:45 AM. 

Mrs. Pawlak was born in La Salle on October 16, 1934 to LaVern and Josephine (Mahnich) Campbell. She married Jerome "Tabby" Pawlak on June 2, 1971. She was a waitress at Wayside Chef and the Union 76 truck stop in Peru. She retired as manager for Shamrock Shell in Peru. 

Mrs. Pawlak enjoyed baking, bowling, and drinking with her girlfriends on Friday nights. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. 

Mrs. Pawlak is survived by four daughters, Deborah (Kevin) Kraabel of North Aurora, Shelley Kleczewski of North Aurora, Penny (Steve) Reynolds of La Salle, and Peggy Kleczewski of La Salle; nine grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her husband Tabby on February 8, 2006, one daughter Kimberley Paul, and one brother Jerry Campbell.

In lieu of flowers, monetary contributions may be directed to her family.

Pallbearers will be Jason Kraabel, Kevin Kraabel Jr., Christopher Reynolds, Kory Robinson, Pete Campbell, Jeff Campbell, and Jeff Paul.
