Michael Walker Obituary

Michael David Walker, 50, of Sheridan passed away unexpectedly on June 19, 2023.

Memorial services will be 11:00 AM Saturday July 8, 2023 at the Norway Community Building located at 3676 E. 2603rd. Rd. Sheridan, IL 60551. A Celebration of Life will immediately follow and all are welcome to attend.

Mike was born in Sandwich on December 31, 1972 to James and Michel (Smith) Walker. He was a 1991 graduate of Serena High School. He graduated from NIU in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy. He has been a CPA since 2000 and established his own office, Walker Accounting Group, in 2011. He married Christina Biagioni in 2012.

Mike enjoyed vacation time and traveling with his family and friends. He especially loved going to Hawaii to visit family and snorkel. He loved to swim.

Mike was very active in scouting for almost 30 years and was happy to share scouting time with his son. He joined Sheridan Cub Scouts as a troop leader. He was Assistant Scout Master for Marseilles BSA Troop 799. He was a member of the Order of the Arrow Scouting Honor Society and was the Executive Officer for the Sheridan Pack. He was also very active with his community.

Mike is survived by his loving wife Christina Walker, son Zander, his mother Michel Walker, brother Jon (Jamie) Walker, sister Wendy (Jack) Harris, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father James.
