Michael S. Mustered

Michael S. Mustered, 56, of Collinsville, formerly of La Salle, passed away December 25, 2024, in OSF St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Peru.

Mass of Christian burial will be 11:00 AM Monday in Queen of the Holy Rosary Memorial Shrine in La Salle with The Very Rev. Thomas Otto officiating.  Burial will be in St. Vincent’s Cemetery in La Salle. Visitation will be in the church on Monday from 10:00 AM until time of services.  Mass and burial will also be for his brother Stephen Mustered who died in 2017.

The Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle is entrusted with both brother’s services.

Michael was born in Peru on September 15, 1968, to Charles and Helen (Knap) Mustered.  He was a truck driver for various trucking companies.  He attended La Salle-Peru Township High School and was an avid Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs fan.

Michael is survived by his mother and stepfather James and Helen Millman of La Salle; two sisters, Rose Mary Jurkas of Ottawa and Debbie Miller of Kentucky; two step-sisters, Candy Parente of Ladd and Julie Millman of Kewanee; nieces Brittany Milligan, Grace Hawks, Jenna and Hannah Parente; great niece Sernity Hawks; great nephew Ethan Steele; his wife Belinda Mustered and her children Tanisha and Terrence.

He was preceded in death by his father, grandparents, brother Stephen, aunts and uncles.
