Mary Barbara “Barb” Kasperski

Mary Barbara “Barb” Kasperski, 94, of La Salle, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2025 at Allure of Peru.

A Mass of Christian burial was held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, May 28, at St. Patrick’s Church in La Salle with the Very Rev. Thomas Otto officiating. Burial was at St. Hyacinth’s Cemetery. The Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle was entrusted with her arrangements.

Barb was born on April 19, 1931 to John and Charlotte (Widlowski) Stachowiak. She married Robert Kasperski on April 19, 1952. 

She is survived by her children Barbara (Patrick) Derix of La Salle, Jane Kasperski of Peru, and Vincent (Karen) Kasperski of Peru; grandchildren: Patrick (Kristen) Derix Jr., Abby (Patrick) Goy, Maguire and Sydney Kasperski, and Trevor (Jess) Curry; great-grandchildren: Garrett and Blayke Goy, Patrick and Caroline Derix, and Cole, Will, and Luke Curry.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert, parents, one brother John, two daughter Joan in infancy and Mary, and one son Robert.
