Mary Ann Booker

Mary Ann Booker, 59, of La Salle passed away unexpectedly in St. Margaret’s Health in Peru on February 24, 2022.

Mass of Christian burial will be 11:00 Monday at St. Valentine’s Church in Peru with Rev. J.A. Small officiating. Burial will be in St. Vincent’s Cemetery in La Salle. Visitation will be 2-5:00 PM Sunday at the Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle. Additional visitation will be Monday in the church from 10:00 AM until time of services.

Mary Ann was born in Chicago on June 26, 1962 to Benny and Paula (Kierski) Jones. She married Keith Booker on January 8, 1992. She worked as a waitress at the 101 Club for many years and 17 years as maintenance and security at Illinois Valley Community Hospital.

Mary Ann enjoyed being with her family. She had a great sense of humor, was quick witted, and had a wonderful laugh. Mary Ann enjoyed her many friends.

Mary Ann is survived by her husband Keith; four daughters Nicole Meyer of Spring Valley, Nicki (Kale) Johnston of Aurora, CO, Tonya Booker, and Lindsey Booker both of GA; three grandchildren Cameron Farneti, Derek Johnston, and Tyler Meyer; one sister Judy (Brian) Mattison of Peru; one brother James (Michelle) Sittler of Hennepin; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one son Brandon A. Booker in 2007, her father Benny Jones, and her mother Paula Sittler in 2021.
