Mary E. (Elam) Allen

Mary Elizabeth Allen, 72, of Princeton, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2021 in Crescent Care in Elgin.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday in the Bache Memorial Chapel in Van Orin. Burial will be in the Bache Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be in the Chapel on Monday from 3-7 PM. The Hurst Funeral Home is entrusted with her services.

Mary was born in Mallory, WV on March 24, 1949 to Roy and Florence (Whitte) Elam. She was retired from Continental Plastic in West Chicago. She enjoyed crafts, arts, camping, reading, and cooking. She also enjoyed the Lifetime Movie Channel and watching Days of Our Lives. She loved family time and holidays. Her family was her greatest joy.

Mary is survived by three daughters; Angela Paulsen of New Orleans, Pamela Paulsen of South Elgin, and Krista (Jorge) Leon of Chicago Heights, one son; Robert Bridges of Colorado, eight grandchildren; Adam, Sara, Elizabeth, Amber, Vanessa, Cansas, Robbie, and Riley, eleven great grandchildren; Adrian, Nyelli, Natalie, Bella, Nylaya, Julius, Xavian, Ivy, Leo, Brielle, and James, three sisters; Sharon (Bill) Johnson of Man, WV, Freda (Perry) Elam of Princeton, and Charlotte (Frank) Cocat of Princeton.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers; Delancy Elam, Roy Elam Jr., and James Elam, two nephews; Chris and Billy Johnson.
