Mark Donnelly Obituary

Mark J. Donnelly, 29, of La Salle, passed away unexpectedly at home on May 3, 2024 due to natural causes.

Funeral services will be 7:00 PM Tuesday in the Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle with Rev. Paul Carlson officiating. Celebration of Life will be from 4 to 7:00 PM on Tuesday.  Burial will be private in St. Vincent’s Cemetery in La Salle.

Mark was born in Spring Valley on September 13, 1994 to Mark R. and Alba (Janica) Donnelly.  He worked as a machinist at Mennie Machine Co in Mark.  He enjoyed playing video games, golfing with his dad, traveling with his mother, and bicycling with his girlfriend P.J.  He enjoyed Thanksgiving Holiday and spending time with his dog Snow.  Mark was a selfless and happy guy who loved talking to everyone.

He is survived by his mother Alba (Bill Mennie) Donnelly of Granville; one brother Jose (Caitlen Meyer) Janica of Cherry; four cousins, Laura De Las Salas of Peru, Mirianys (Jose Maldonado) De Las Salas of Peru, Jim Schaper and Ryan Schaper, both of Lostant; his girlfriend P.J. Doran of Ohio; maternal grandmother Patricia Janica of Colombia; an aunt Carmen Rodriguez of La Salle; four special little cousins, Alessandra, Kaitlyn, Zoe, and Zein.

Mark was preceded in death by his father Mark R. Donnelly, aunt Leslie (John) Schaper, uncle, grandparents Diane and Donald Pittman, William (Norma) Donnelly, and cousin Joseph Krebsbach.
