Marjorie A. Zitoun

Marjorie A. Zitoun, 78, of Peru passed away peacefully on December 31, 2024 after a long-term illness.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Private services will be held at a later date. The Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle has been entrusted with her arrangements.

Mrs. Zitoun was born in Peru on September 10, 1946 to Harold and Margaret (Essl) Gorski. She married James Zitoun on November 23, 1967. They later divorced in April of 1991. Mrs. Zitoun worked as a teller at Hometown National Bank for 46 years.

In earlier years, Mrs. Zitoun enjoyed golfing and flower gardening. She was an avid reader. She was also good at trivia.

Mrs. Zitoun is survived by her daughter Jamie Zitoun of Spring Hill, TN; her life partner Robert “Bob” Ocepeck of Peru; Bob’s children Mike (Kathy) Ocepeck, Margie King, and Robbie Ocepeck; and Bob’s grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
