Marjorie V. Mudge

Marjorie V. Mudge, 94, of Dimmick Township, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2018 in Manor Court of Peru.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Monday December 17, 2018 in the Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle with Rev. Brett Todd, pastor of Grace United Methodist Church in La Salle officiating.  Burial will be in Restland Cemetery in Mendota.  Visitation will be in the funeral home on Monday from 9:00 AM unit time of services.

Mrs. Mudge was born in Mendota on February 9, 1924 to Albert and Elizabeth (Ryan) Sterchi.  She married Elwood “Dugan” Mudge on October 10, 1943.  She was a homemaker and a farmer.

Mrs. Mudge enjoyed gardening, her flowers and canning. 

She is survived by two daughters, Marilyn (Howard) Roark of Gridley and Kathy (Mark Turner) Pelka of Peru; two sons, Glen (Karen) Mudge of La Salle and Kevin (Judy) Mudge of La Salle; 15 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren; one brother Douglas (Mary) Sterchi of LaMoille , and daughter-in-law Sara Mudge of La Salle.

She was preceded in death by her husband Elwood on December 17, 2010, one son Kenneth, one son in infancy Ronald, son-in-law David Pelka, two sisters, Mabel Behringer and Norma Jean Bauer and one brother Ralph Sterchi.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
