Marcia A. Bolden, 80, of Utica, passed away August 2, 2024.
Celebration of Life will be at 1:00 PM Saturday, August 10th at the American Legion in Sheridan, IL. The Hurst Funeral Home in LaSalle is handling her arrangements.
Marcia was born on July 11, 1944, to Omer and Mona (Phillipi) Shields. She married Richard E. Bolden in Aurora on October 27, 1962. Marcia was a member of the Sheridan Sportsman’s Club. She was a mechanic, enjoyed canning and BINGO, and was an avid gardener. Marcia loved coon-hunting and night catfishing, but most of all, loved her family.
Marcia is survived by three sons: Richard Bolden of Sandwich, Robert Bolden of Utica, and Timothy (Kristin) Bolden of Andover, MN, four daughters: Bonnie (Howard) Sebby of Utica, Lori Kramoski of Powell, TN, Rose Bolden of Sandwich, and Michelle (Brian) Benavides of Ottawa, nineteen grandchildren: Holly Bolden, Katherine Bolden, Brian Benavides Jr., Oakland and Montana Sebby, Jessica Bolden, LeeAnne Bolden, Matthew Bolden, Leslie, Adam, and Derek Smith, Candace Galvan, Anthony Massingill, Brandi Mulvaney, Jennifer Francisco, Derek Hall, Samantha Sheridan, and Isabella Bolden, several great grandchildren, several great-great grandchildren, one brother Michael Douglas (Becky) Shields of New Concord, KY, one sister Beverly (John) Casey of Millington.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Richard on April 18, 2008, two granddaughters, one great granddaughter, four brothers: Oscar, Omer Lee, Steve, and Tony Shields, one sister Patricia Tomkawiak, and one daughter-in-law Debbie Bolden.
