Lois A. Schott

Lois Ann Schott, 83, of Peru, passed away May 1, 2023 in Aperion Care in Princeton.

Visitation will be 4 to 7:00 PM Thursday in the Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle.

Private services and burial will be at a later date.

Lois was born in La Salle on December 7, 1939 to Walt and Frances (Gregorich) Marini.  She married Robert W. Schott on September 2, 1984.  Prior to that she was married to Kent Pryde who passed away in 1977.

Lois served as the Comptroller for the city of La Salle for 20 years.  She has a deep love for her family and freely lent a helping hand to whoever needed one.  She baked goodies almost daily for her family and neighbors.  Her passion was dancing from being an original La Salle-Peru Cavalette to dancing with Bob and her grandkids.  Her favorite travel destination was Las Vegas.

Lois is survived by her husband Bob; her children, Shelly Samolinski and William (Mary) Pryde; step children, Chris (Dennis) Pinkley and Michael Schott; grandchildren, Kendra (Joseph) Landers, Kayla (Nate) Janz, Kristopher Samolinski, Maggie (Lucas) Ellefson, William Pryde, Dominic (Courtney) Smith and Anthony Smith; great-grandchildren, Kennan, Kenzington, Teddy and Jaymeson; her brother Walter (Mary Jane) Marini; nephew Marc (Vicki) Marini and niece Lisa Marini.

She was preceded in death by her parents and first husband Kent Pryde.

Memorials may be made to her family to be donated to Shriners Hospital or Alzheimer’s Association.

Pallbearers will be Kristopher Samolinski, Billy Pryde, Marc Marini, Joe Landers, Nate Janz, Lucas Ellefson, and Lyle Eiten.
