Linda L. (Trump) Sittler

Linda Lee Trump-Sittler, 79, from La Salle passed peacefully on Thursday July 21, 2022 at Liberty Village of Princeton with her daughter and grandchildren at her side.

She was born May 5, 1943 in La Salle to Elmer and Mildred (Briddick) Trump of Jonesville. She married Jacob Weger in 1959. Jacob and Linda were proud parents of three children Shelley Jane, Steven Lee, and Susan Kay. They had 5 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson. That were loved deeply and hard. She later divorced and Linda remarried Jeff Sittler and they resided in LaSalle.  

Linda was a homemaker most of her life. She belonged to many quilters groups throughout the Illinois Valley. She was a past Worth Matron of Eastern Star and a Past Bethel Guardian of the International order of Job’s Daughters. She helped in both Girl Scouts, Boys scouts and was active in 4-H throughout her children growing up. She loved to travel and spend time in her rose garden. She also was an avid lover of Horses.  

She was preceded in death by both parents, one son Steven Weger (1990), a daughter Shelley Cooke (2018) one brother Kenneth Trump (1985) and one sister Mildred Krieser (2010).  

Survivors include her husband Jeff Sittler of La Salle; daughter Susan Burr of Granville; 1 sister Patricia Gramer of Jonesville; and three stepchildren: Jeff Sittler of Princeton, Annie Baker of Malden, and Tammy Sittler of Spring Valley.

There will be no services at this time. The Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle is assisting the family with arrangements.
