Lauren Kay Data

Lauren Kay Data, 67, of Ladd, passed away unexpectedly at her home on June 27, 2026.

A Celebration of Life will be at a later date. The Hurst Funeral Home in Ladd has been entrusted with her arrangements.

Lauren was born in Spring Valley on February 12, 1959 to Melvin and JoAnn (Baxter) Data. She was a graduate of Hall High School. Later, she went on and earned her Master’s Degree from North Central College. She worked many years at Josten’s, Freedom House, the State’s Attorney office, and North Central Behavioral. 

Lauren enjoyed crocheting, horseback riding, plants and gardening. She loved art and making jewelry. She also loved elephants and had a collection. She was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses in Peru where she volunteered often and took care of many.

Lauren is survived by her sons, Kellen (Sara) Data of Bremerton, WA and Jerren Data of Ladd; her mother, JoAnn Data of Ladd; her sister, Linda (Gary) Eschenbaum of Yuma, AZ; her brother Rahn (Fay) Data of La Salle; several nieces and nephews; and many cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father, one nephew, J.C., and her beloved therapy dog, Kenai.
