Larry L. Glynn

Larry L. Glynn, 76, of Peru, passed away at home surrounded by his family on March 21, 2023 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Funeral services will be 7:00 pm Friday in the Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle with Brother Luke McLachlan officiating.  Visitation will be in the funeral home from 4:00 PM until time of services.  Cremation will take place after services.

Larry was born in Spring Valley on May 19, 1946 to Clifford and Dolores (Belski) Glynn.  He married Marcy Bogaert on November 28, 1964.

Larry worked with his father at Northern Salvage before his long career in waste management and was employed by the City of Peru, G&B Disposal, and Abraham Disposal before retiring. 

Larry’s favorite job was working in the garage alongside of his son Mike, building dirt track race cars.  He enjoyed fishing and was “Mr. Fix It” to anyone and everyone he met.

Larry is survived by his wife Marcy of Peru; four children, Lory(Dave)Kilanowski of La Salle, Michael(Betty)Glynn of Peru, Shelly(Steve)Trilikis of Peru and Sherrie(Jerry)Kurtz of Utica;  six grandchildren, DJ, Tiana, Brandon, Brittany, Sophie and Reese; sister-in-law Susie Bogaert of Peru, his side kick Bobby Wiese of Peru and his loyal companion, his dog Amora; three siblings, Linda(Gayle)Adams of South Carolina, Terry(Raejean)Glynn of Granville and Gary(Sharon)Glynn of Utica.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter Ashley Glynn.
