LaVonne Loughridge

LaVonne Loughridge, 96, passed peacefully on May 23, 2026 after a very short stay at Allure Nursing home in Peru. 

A Celebration of Life will be Saturday, June 13, at the Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle from 1:00 to 3:00 PM. 

She was born in La Salle on February 16, 1930 to Edward (Delmar) and Adele Hocking.  She graduated from LP class of 1947. She married James Loughridge on November 27, 1948.  She enjoyed fishing, theater and an occasional trip to casinos.  

She is survived by her daughters Karen Loughridge of Peru and Janice Baker (Allyn) of Pennsylvania.

She also has three grandchildren Daniel Padlo, Todd, and James Baker, a sister, Nancy Gorishek.  She is also survived by her grandchildren and nieces and nephews, whom were dear to her.   

She was proceeded in death by her parents, a son, Thomas Loughridge, a brother, Gerald Hocking and three grandchildren, Chad Padlo, Michael Brennan, and Sabrina Baker.
