Kenneth L. Baker

Kenneth L. Baker, 89, of Peru, passed away peacefully at his home on June 21, 2026.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Graveside services will be 1:00 PM Thursday, June 25 at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Spring Valley. The Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle has been entrusted with his arrangements.

Ken was born in Peru on March 15, 1937 to Harry and Cecelia (Wozniak) Baker. He married Kathleen Carrico on August 19, 1967. Ken managed T&T Hydraulics in Peru for many years. He enjoyed canoeing, target shooting, and building black powder guns. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Church in Peru.

Ken is survived by his wife Kathy of Peru; one son, Steve (Darla) Baker of Dixon; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, David.
