Kenard W. Doll

Kenard W. Doll, 79, of Arlington, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2024 surrounded by his family at Manor Court in Peru.

Celebration of Life will be Thursday from 9:00 AM until 11:30 AM at the Hurst Funeral Home in Ladd. A prayer service will be said at 11:30 AM.

Ken was born in Spring Valley on November 21, 1944 to Wayne and Nora (Walch) Doll. He married Kathleen Pytel in St. Valentine’s Church in Peru on September 4, 1965. He was a graduate of Hall High School and farmed his whole working life.

Ken collected antique farm toys and arrowheads. He enjoyed camping, hiking, going to auto races in Michigan, and going with his family to farm toy shows.

Ken is survived by his wife Kathleen of Arlington; two sons Scott (Debra) Doll of Peru and Jeff Doll of Arlington; three grandchildren Austin Doll, Alex (Olivia Novero) Doll, and Katharine Doll; one brother Curtis (Beth) Doll of Ladd; nieces; and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Beverly Bowgern, and one granddaughter Emma Doll.

Honorary pallbearers will be Steve, Mark, and Mike Bowgren; Alex Doll and Olivia Novero; Austin and Katharine Doll; and Brayden Bickett.

Memorials may be directed to the Hall Township Food Pantry, St. Jude Children’s Hospital, or donor’s choice.
