Judith K. Green

Judith K. Green, 73, of La Salle, passed away unexpectedly at home on April 30, 2026.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, May 9, at the Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle with Rev. Tom Redig, pastor of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Peru, officiating.  Visitation will be in the funeral home Friday from 4 to 7:00 PM and on Saturday from 10:00 AM until time of services.

Judy was born in Spring Valley on December 5, 1952 to Frank and Evadean (Schafer) Braun.  She married Maikel Green on January 24, 1974.  She worked as a Commercial Insurance Agent for 53 years, retiring from Hartauer Insurance in La Salle.

Judy enjoyed having family gatherings, tending to her flowers in her garden, and loved spending time with her pride and joy, her grandson Austin.  She was a proud member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Peru where she was involved in many things.

Judy is survived by her daughter, Becky (Darren) Haydu of Heyworth; her grandson, Austin Maikel Haydu; one sister, Diana (Doug) Julian of Arizona.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Maikel on April 21, 2023, three brothers, Allan, Roger and Donald Braun.
