John F. Lindenmier

John F. Lindenmier, 57, of La Salle passed away peacefully in his home on September 20, 2023.

Celebration of Life will be Saturday, September 30 from 1-3:00 PM at the Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle with a service at 3:00 PM.

John was born in Spring Valley on May 29, 1966 to Francis R. and Anna E. (Roulston) Lindenmier. He married Octavia Webb on May 29, 2003 and just celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary this year. John worked in maintenance at Cookie Kingdom in Oglesby. He worked there over 26 years in many different departments.

John was an avid Chicago Cubs, Bears, and Bulls fan. He enjoyed going out to eat and taking rides around town on the weekend with his wife.

John is survived by his wife Octavia of La Salle; son Jonathan Lindenmier of Peru; stepsons Donell (Tonya) Webb, Nathaniel (Rachael) Webb, and Andrea D. (Melissa) Butler; brother Robert “Bob” (Diane) Lindenmier of Warsaw, IN; sister Cindy (Jim) Jacobs of Granville; aunt Irene Donovan; six sisters-law; two brothers-in law; many nieces and nephews; and his furbabies Junior, JJ, and Missy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, infant son son John Lindenmier Jr., mother-in-law Inez Johnson, aunts and uncles, and furbaby Angel.
