John E. Mochalski

John Edmund Mochalski, 66, of La Salle, IL passed away on November 21, 2024 after a short illness, surrounded by family and friends.  

Cremation rites have been accorded. Burial will be at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood at a later date. 

John was born in Kankakee, IL on July 3, 1958 to Edmund and Dorothy (Taylor) Mochalski. In recent years, John made his home in La Salle-Peru, IL. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in La Salle and his faith was very important to him. John was a veteran of the United States Navy. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, and gardening. John was also an avid reader.

John is survived by his son Noah Mochalski; his sisters Stephanie Daniels-Lopez, Michelle (Bodoh) Mochalski, Mary Farmer, and Anne Mochalski; nephew Zachary Daniels; niece Rachel Farmer; his significant other Lori Sackett; her daughter Amanda Swor; and Amanda’s two sons.
