Although she only had an eighth grade formal education since the family could not afford the 25 cent week commute to L-P High School. Marie’s many talents included gardening and inspired crochet artistry, while also being an excellent cook, baker, and canner. She was known for her cinnamon twists made from extra pie crusts disappearing quickly on first come, first served basis. Aunt Mimi and Uncle Babe will be remembered as gracious hosts who welcomed friends and family into their home with warm hospitality.
