Joann R. Cirone

Joann R. Cirone, 81, of Peru, passed away at home surrounded by her family on September 19, 2023.

Cremation rites have been accorded.  Private graveside services will be at St. Vincent’s Cemetery in La Salle at a later date.  The Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle is entrusted with her arrangements.

Joann was born in La Salle on December 8, 1941 to Joseph and Pauline (Dinoto) Farnetti.  She grew up in La Salle and left for a short time to go to college in Chicago where she met Bob.  She married Robert Cirone on September 5, 1964 in Holy Rosary Church in La Salle.  Joann was a 1959 graduate of La Salle-Peru High School and St. Anne’s Hospital School of Nursing.  She worked at St. Anne’s in Chicago, St. Margaret’s in Spring Valley where she was a charge nurse.  She also worked for Nutri-System.  She was a member of Holy Rosary Church.  She loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren.

Joann is survived by her husband Bob of Peru; three children, Robert Cirone Jr. of Peru, Mark (Laura) Cirone of Gulfport, MS and Cami (John) Beebe of La Salle; and four grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents and in-laws “Rocky” and Anna Cirone.
