Jessica Mae Balma

Jessica Mae Balma, 37, of Streator, formerly of Utica and Granville, passed away unexpectedly on March 4, 2025.

A Celebration of Life will be 4:00 PM Sunday, March 9, at the Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle with Rev. J.A. Small officiating.  Visitation will be in the funeral home on Sunday from 12:00 PM until time of services.

Jessica was born in Spring Valley on June 29, 1987 to Ken and Raejean Balma.  She was a dispatcher for Illinois Central Bus Co.  She was an avid WWE wrestling fan.  She enjoyed swimming and playing softball, and she was a cat lover.

Jessica is survived by her mother Raejean (Terry) Glynn of Granville and her father Ken (Danielle) Balma of Utica; two sons, Jack and Bradley Spayer of Utica; three sisters, Ashley Balma of Tennessee, Brittany Rott of Granville and Haley Rott of Peru; two brothers, Cody Rott of Granville and Jason Glynn of Tennessee; nieces; nephews; aunts; and uncles.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
