Jean L. Pohl

Jean L. Pohl, 90, of LaSalle, passed away on September 16, 2024 at OSF St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Peru.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A private celebration of life will take place at a later date.  The Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle has been entrusted with her arrangements.

Jean was born in La Salle on June 12, 1934 to Arthur and Luella Anna Marie (Herrcke) Rolander.  She was an avid hiker in her younger years and loved the great outdoors.  She was passionate about gardening and was a longtime member of the Illinois Valley Garden Club.  She enjoyed volunteering at the La Salle County Historical Society for many years.

Jean is survived by her daughter Carrie (Bryan) Robbins of Frankenmuth, MI, son William (Judy) Hubbard of Peru, IL, grandchildren Dan Robbins (Kamber) of Norton Shores, MI, Tom (Melissa) Hubbard of Utica, IL, Jenifer Robbins of Titusville, FL, Jessica Hubbard of Peru,IL. Great Grandchildren Lux, Olivia, Finley, Taylor, Vivienne and Auryn. Sister Diane Broset of LaSalle, IL. Nieces Amy Broset of Loveland, CO and Sara Broset of La Salle, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Robert Hubbard and Fredrick Hubbard, her Uncle Glenn Herrcke, Aunt Thelma Herrcke and Aunt Gladys Herrcke.

Memorials may be directed to the Illinois Valley Garden Club or La Salle County Historical Society.
