Janice E. Lierly

Janice E. Lierly, 83, of Peru, passed away January 5, 2024 at Manor Court in Peru.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Private Celebration of Life will be at a later date. The Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle is assisting her family with arrangements.

Janice was born in Paris, IL on August 25, 1940 to Glenn and Mary (Lauderdale) Parrick. She married Larry Lierly on June 7, 1958 and they divorced in 1993. Janice worked at Valley Flowers and retired from Valley Appliance. She enjoyed gardening and remodeling her own homes.

Janice is survived by one son David Lierly; one daughter Sherry (Michael) Mayszak of Peru; three grandchildren Joseph (Kayla) Mayszak of Peru, Emily Mayszak of Kenosha, WI, and Samuel Mayszak of Peru; three great-grandchildren Marina and Noelle Vega, and Ava Mayszak; one sister Sandra Watkins; one brother James Parrick; and several nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister Betty King, and one brother John Parrick.
